Terms of Service
EFFECTIVE: June 30, 2026
The short version
TechnicianVision ("TV", "we", "us") — operated by Redline Ops Group, Inc., a Delaware corporation — is a working tool for collision-repair technicians. By creating an account you agree to use it lawfully and honestly. We provide the platform; you stay responsible for the repair decisions you make and the documents you generate.
New in this version: you grant us a broad license to use the repair and estimate data you put into TV — including to improve our product and to build de-identified, aggregated datasets — and in exchange we make binding commitments (§7) never to use that data to fix prices, rig bids, or otherwise help shops or insurers coordinate against each other or against you.
We can change or end the service, but we'll give reasonable notice and never lock you out of your own raw data.
Eligibility + account
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.
- One account per person. Don't share credentials.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us at support@technicianvision.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- If you're using TV inside a shop, you confirm you're authorized by that shop to do so, and that you have authority to grant the data license in §6 for the documents you upload. If your shop, not you, owns the estimates and supplements, you confirm the shop has authorized their use under these terms.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload material you don't have the right to upload (other people's photos, copyrighted P-Pages, an insurer's proprietary estimate templates you're not licensed to redistribute, etc.).
- Don't try to break or probe the platform — security testing is welcome via responsible disclosure to support@technicianvision.com.
- Don't use TV to generate documentation you know to be false. The AI is a drafting aid; you sign off on what goes to an estimator.
- Don't resell or repackage TV's output as your own SaaS.
- Don't use TV, or any data or benchmark TV provides, to coordinate prices, labor rates, or bidding with another shop. (See §7. This protects you as much as us.)
The AI bit (read this)
TV uses Google Gemini and TV's own models to draft not-included ops, judgment-time entries, PDR phase breakdowns, document classifications, and procedure justifications from the photos, documents, and notes you submit. These outputs are suggestions, not professional advice. The technician (you) is the responsible party for every line that ends up in a supplement. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or that any insurer will accept a given supplement on the strength of TV's output.
If you spot a false positive — TV calls out something that isn't really there — please use the "Report a bug or false positive" link on the Support screen. Those reports make the prompts better.
§5 · Your work product stays yours
You own the jobs, photos, videos, estimates, supplements, and notes you upload ("Your Content"). Nothing in §6 transfers ownership of Your Content to us. You can export and delete your raw Content at any time (§11). What §6 grants is a license — a right to use — not a transfer of ownership.
§6 · Data rights & license
This section replaces the old "Your content stays yours" data grant in its entirety.
6.1 What you grant us
You grant TechnicianVision a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, perpetual and irrevocable (except as limited by §6.4) license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, adapt, and create derivative works from Your Content and the structured data extracted from it (estimate line items, labor operations, labor rates, part numbers and prices, paint and material values, supplement deltas, RO numbers, insurer and shop identifiers, document classifications, and metadata — collectively "Repair Data"), for the following purposes:
- Operate the service for you — store your Content on Cloudflare, pass it through the third parties listed in the privacy policy, and run the AI flows you trigger.
- Improve the product — use Repair Data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve TV's own models, prompts, classifiers, and features. (This is the change from the prior terms, which said we would not train models on your data. We train our models; we do not hand your identifiable data to third parties to train theirs — see §6.3.)
- Build de-identified, aggregated datasets — combine your Repair Data with data from other users to create aggregated and de-identified statistics, benchmarks, indices, models, and analytics. Once de-identified and aggregated under §7.2, these derived datasets are owned by TV and are not subject to deletion under §6.4 or §11.
6.2 Scope is intentionally broad
You acknowledge that TV's product and business model depend on collecting and aggregating Repair Data at scale. The license in §6.1 is intended to be as broad as applicable law allows, and to survive your account deletion only with respect to de-identified, aggregated derivatives created before deletion (your raw, identifiable Content and Repair Data are deleted per §11).
6.3 What we will NOT do with your data
Notwithstanding the breadth of §6.1, we will not:
- Sell, rent, or license your raw or identifiable Repair Data to any third party.
- Provide your identifiable Repair Data to a third party to train their AI models.
- Disclose your identifiable estimates, supplements, or labor rates to an insurer, an insurer's AI platform, a competing shop, or any other party, except (i) to processors strictly necessary to operate the service, (ii) with your explicit per-disclosure consent, or (iii) as compelled by law.
- Use Repair Data in any way prohibited by the antitrust commitments in §7.
6.4 De-identification is one-way
Once Repair Data has been irreversibly de-identified and aggregated under §7.2, it can no longer be tied back to you, and therefore cannot be individually deleted or exported. Deleting your account removes your raw, identifiable Content and Repair Data within 30 days (§11) but does not unwind statistics or models already derived from the aggregate.
§7 · Antitrust & fair-data commitments
Estimate, labor-rate, and supplement data is competitively sensitive information. When a single platform collects that data from many competing shops, antitrust law (Sherman Act §1; FTC Act §5) is concerned that the platform could become a conduit for price-fixing, rate-fixing, or tacit coordination — including through algorithms.
These are binding commitments, enforceable by you, not marketing copy.
7.1 No facilitation of coordination
TV will not use Repair Data, and will not design any feature, to:
- facilitate, encourage, or enable any agreement or coordination among competing shops (or among insurers) on prices, labor rates, paint/material rates, discounts, supplement strategy, or which insurers to do business with;
- feed any individual shop's current or future prices or rates to a competing shop; or
- operate a pricing algorithm that recommends what to charge based on competitors' nonpublic, identifiable prices or rates.
7.2 How any aggregate or benchmark is built
If and when TV offers benchmarks, indices, or insights derived from Repair Data, every such output will be:
- Aggregated — computed across a minimum population large enough that no individual shop's data can be reverse-engineered (thresholds to be set on counsel's advice).
- De-identified — stripped of shop name, technician identity, RO number, VIN, and any other direct identifier before entering an aggregate.
- Historical, not forward-looking — based on data with a deliberate time lag, never real-time or prospective prices/rates.
- Non-prescriptive — presented as information, never as a recommended or "target" price.
7.3 Your data is never used against you
We will not use your Repair Data to disadvantage you commercially — e.g., to help an insurer or insurer AI platform argue your supplements down, or to help a competing shop undercut you. TV's stated mission is to build technician leverage, and these terms bind us to it.
7.4 Independence + audit
TV will maintain internal data-governance controls implementing this §7 and will not ship a benchmark feature until those controls and counsel sign-off are in place.
7.5 You can hold us to this
These commitments are a material term of this agreement. If we breach §7 in a way that harms you, that is a breach of contract regardless of the liability cap in §10 to the extent §10 cannot lawfully limit it.
Pricing
TV is free to use during the current rollout. If we introduce a paid plan, we'll email existing users with at least 30 days' notice before the price applies, and you'll have a chance to opt out before being billed.
§9 · Manually captured photos & evidence — your responsibility and release
When you use TV to take or upload photos, videos, scans, documents, or other evidence ("Captured Evidence") — whether on your own initiative or because TV prompted, suggested, instructed, or asked you to capture a specific panel, part, VIN, document, person, or scene — you, not TV, decide what to capture and what to upload. TV's capture prompts and checklists are workflow aids, not directions you are required to follow, and following one never shifts responsibility to TV.
By capturing or uploading Captured Evidence you agree that:
- You assume all liability arising from that Captured Evidence and its upload — including its content, how and where you obtained it, what it depicts, and whether you had the right and any required consent to capture it. This holds even where TV asked you to photograph the specific subject.
- You confirm you have the right to capture and share each item — including any permission required from the vehicle owner, the shop, your employer, and any person, document, premises, or property depicted.
- You release TV and all of its partners, processors, vendors, and integration providers (including, without limitation, Cloudflare, Google/Gemini, and any insurer or shop integrations) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and costs arising out of Captured Evidence you submit, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- You take sole responsibility for the decision to share Captured Evidence and for obtaining any consent that decision requires. You direct TV to store and process it under the §6 license, and you — not TV — are responsible for any privacy, data-subject, or data-access / correction / deletion request relating to it.
- You will indemnify and hold harmless TV and its partners against third-party claims to the extent they arise from Captured Evidence you submitted in breach of this section.
This section does not waive rights that applicable law says cannot be waived, and it does not apply to TV's own breach of its §6 or §7 commitments.
Disclaimer + liability
The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular insurer's workflow. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of TV is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the prior twelve months or (b) USD $100. This cap does not apply to TV's breach of the §7 antitrust commitments to the extent applicable law prohibits limiting such liability.
Termination + data deletion
- You can delete your account at any time (Profile screen, or email support).
- You can export your raw Content and Repair Data before deletion.
- We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — we'll explain why and give a chance to fix fixable violations.
- On termination we delete your raw, identifiable Content and Repair Data within 30 days, consistent with the privacy policy. Per §6.4, de-identified aggregated derivatives created before deletion are not unwound.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the effective date at the top whenever these terms change. Because this version materially expands the data license (§6) and adds the antitrust commitments (§7), existing users will be notified by email and asked to re-accept before the new data rights apply to data they upload after the effective date. Material changes are notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
